Kevin Hart: Born on July 6, 1979 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After graduating High School, Hart attended the Community College of Philadelphia, but dropped out shortly after. He did his first open mic in Philadelphia and received negative feedback early on, often being booed off stage. Pushing through the bad, he began entering comedy competitions throughout Massachusetts. His career slowly took off as he came into his own, winning multiple comedy competitions. He received his first TV appearance in 2001, in Judd Apatow’s, “Undeclared”. Since then Hart has starred in countless films, has released 5 comedy albums, and in 2015 “TIME” magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
This week the Kaizen Komedy trio attempts to understand Hart’s use of his infectious energy and physicality on stage. His playful and unashamed approach to self-deprecation draws the audience in, while his absurd stories and punchlines cause them to erupt into laughter.
